On-Site Registration:

  • Registration opens at the Arena Civica in the Parco Sempione at 06.00
  • All participants must register on arrival, prior to the start of the briefing and race
  • Participants will receive technical training shirts, race numbers and chip timers at registration
  • Race numbers must be worn during the race
  • Chip timers must be worn to record performance times and allow for selection of fastest times.  These must be returned on completion of the race or a replacement charge will incur. 
  • Collect sticker to be placed on bag with personal belongings

On-Site Facilities:

  • Facilities available on-site at the Arena Civica include:
  • Extensive changing room & shower facilities
  • Supervised cloakroom for participants’ belongings
  • Medical services
  • Refreshments at finishing point (a buffet Breakfast will be offered by chefs Max&Kitchen)

Awards Ceremony:

Individual performance times will be recorded electronically to aid efficient and accurate selection of fastest times.

Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded immediately after the race to the top three in both male and female categories.  These are divided into four age categories as outlined below:

Age Categories: Under 30 | 30 - 45 | 46 - 60 | Over 60

The prizes will be made up of technical sports wear

GENERAL INFORMATION

Euretina in cooperation with A&C Consulting is organising the 1st edition of the RETINA RACE – a non competitive road race of 5km, with a race course measured and certified. The meeting point is by the Civic Arena “Gianni Brera” at 6:00 a.m. (200m from the subway stop MM2 Lanza or MM1 Cairoli). The start time is 6:45 a.m. and the award ceremony will be held at 7:45 a.m. The race time limit is 45 MINUTES. The course will be one loop and will run through the Sempione Park and around the Sforzesco Castle. The organizing committee reserves the right to modify the course according to needs of the authorities.

PARTICIPATION RULES

The participation to the “RETINA RACE” is open to all born before December 31, 1994, the race is open to all participants.

LIMIT IN PARTICIPATION

For the 5 km non competitive race there is a limit of 500 participants.

THE REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDES:

The registration fee includes: start number, chip, official race t-shirt, first aid, bag deposit service, changing rooms and shower service, refreshment points.

TIMEKEEPING AND RESULTS

The timekeeping service is provided by OTC – srl. Each athlete will receive a chip at registration. The chip must be returned to the staff after the race finishes. The athletes that forget to wear the chip or don’t wear it in the correct way, will not have a recorded result in the final ranking. The participants that do not return the chip at the finish line, will need to send it to the organization by November 15, 2012. The participants that do not return the chip, will need to pay a fee of €18 for the chip reimbursement, this is the amount corresponding to what the organizers will have to pay to OTC.

TIME LIMIT

The time limit for the 5km race is 45 minutes.

START

The start of the 5km non competitive race will be at 6:45 a.m. It will start and finish at the Civic Arena “Gianni Brera”.

REFRESHMENT POINTS

There will be two refreshment points: one along the course at km 2.5 and one in the end of the race.

FIRST AID

The organizing committee will provide an adequate medical service along the course and in the start and finish area. The race is covered by insurance.

COMPLAINTS

Complaints regarding the race will have to be presented in writing by the participants, to the race referees up to 30 minutes after the race finishes, together with a tax of 50 euro, which will be returned in case of the acceptance of the complain.

FINAL CONSIDERATIONS

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to close the registration without further notice and the ability to change the race regulations according to the requirements for improved race organisation.
