Abstract Details



Purpose:

To present the results of anty VEGF therapy which was applied unilaterally because of giant PED formation. A need for changing of the type of using drugs has resulted in complete resolution of PED.

Setting:

Woman, 69 y.o. with diagnosed giant serous PED in her left eye was qualified to anty VEGF therapy. An observation time was 30 months

Methods:

Initially, increased doses of Avastin and Lucentis were used, but there was no significant reduction of the lesion. Eylea was used as the next treatment option with excellent result. VA, AF and OCT were used to follow up macular changes.

Results:

Total regression of PED was observed after using of Eylea drug.

Conclusions:

An alternative treatment should be considered in every case when lack of improvement is observed.
