Studying the importance of the spectral optical coherence tomography (OCT) in activity revealing of the toxoplasmic chorioretinitis.
ОCТ was made with spectral tomograph RTVue Version 4.0, Optovue in a mode 3D-macula.
18 patients (18 eyes) with chorioretinitis (active lesion). Average term of supervision was 4,7 + 3,2 months. 6 patients (6 eyes) had activation of inflammatory lesion on edge chorioretinal scar, 2 patients (2 eyes) – activation of inlammatory reaction in the course of conservative therapy.
We have made an estimation of retina height in the field of an active inflammation lesion and chorioretinal scar. The retina thickness at the field of activation was 388,7 microns + 89,5, at the field of chorioretinal scar –102,3 microns + 26,8 on the average. Thus, at activation of inflammatory process there was the increase of retina thikness at an active lesion zone in comparison with chorioretinal scar area. It testifies of a hypostasis and exudation locally in a relapse zone. In the course of monitoring at 2 patients with localization of inflammatory focus in the field of vascular arcades we observed activation of process in conservative therapy on the average in 2,5 months + 0,7. Activation of inlammatory reaction was characterized by increase of retina thickness in the field of the lesion center about 282,5 + 135,1 to 349,0 + 169,7 microns.
Results showed the information value of the spectral optical coherence tomography in evaluation of activity of a current the various ethiology chorioretinitis.
