Studying the ultrastructural changes of a retina during of various ethiology chorioretinitis by means of a spectral optical coherent tomography (OCT).
ОCТ was made with spectral tomograph RTVue Version 4.0, Optovue in a mode 3D-macula.
51 patients (64 eyes) with chorioretinitis: 18 patients (18 eyes) had active inflammatory lesion and 33 patients (46 eyes) - postinflammatory scars. 21 patients had the verified diagnosis of the toxoplasmic chorioretinitis, tubercular chorioretinitis - 11 patients, tubercular-toxoplazmic chorioretinitis – 4 patients.
There was a hypereflective zone at a lesion area in case of active chorioretinitis and visualized the non-uniform retina thickness. At the lesion center the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) was not visualized at 7 patients or it was the'fragmentation'of RPE at 11 patients as a result of penetration difficulty a scanning bunch in retina layers because the exudation took place. Average value of a retina thickness in the lesion field was 390,6 microns + 79,6. In the area of chorioretinal scars there was an inFriday 12 Septemberngement of retina layers, under RPE there was hypereflective zones as result of atrophic changes. 'The shade' fragmentation under RPE at chorioretinal scars area was caused by an atrophy and a hypertrophy of RPE . Average value of chorioretinal scars center was 90,3 microns + 64,7.
ОCТ is a perspective diagnostic technique for an estimation of retina ultrastructural changes against a current of inflammatory diseases of eyes.
