Abstract Details

Purpose:

To determine if Annidis RHA MSI is able to image RC in the presence of clinically significant VO.

Setting:

A clinical private practice setting

Methods:

13 eyes with VO were imaged with RHA MSI imager. Retinal evaluation had previously been performed by ophthalmoscopy, fundus photos, FA and B scan as clinically needed to follow RC pathology. Commonest conditions followed were retinal edema in diabetic and other retino-vascular disorders as well as macular degeneration.

Results:

RHA MSI imager was able to define the RC layer details in the presence of VO obviating invasive management such as angiography or pars plana vitrectomy.

Conclusions:

Annidis RHA imager is very useful in the follow up of RC disorders in presence of significant VO including AH where other existing modalities are unable to adequately image thru opacities. MSI reduced need for FA and PPV for follow up of retinal pathology.
