Video entries will be considered for the Euretina Video Competition Awards, due to be held at the Opening Ceremony on Thursday 1 October 2020
Each applicant may submit a maximum of 2 Video abstracts
Each application must indicate whether the presenter, or any of the co-authors, has a financial interest in the subject matter or receives funds from any mentioned company.
On completion of your abstract submission, you will be sent an automated confirmation email. Please check your junk folder if you do not immediately receive this email.
» If you choose to submit an abstract(s) we will use your personal details to keep you updated on its status including whether it has been accepted for presentation at the Euretina Congress. If your abstract(s) is accepted for presentation at the Euretina Congress your contact details (name and email address) will be sent to a third party Audio Visual Company (M-Events) in order for them to contact you in relation to uploading your presentation.
All submitted abstracts will be reviewed before final selection is made with submissions ranked according to their average score.
If your abstract is accepted, you will be informed of this by email in May 2020.
» All submitted abstracts must be in English and follow the structured format below:
Title (250 characters max)
Purpose (100 words max)
Setting/Venue (50 words max)
Methods (200 words max)
Results (200 words max)
Conclusions (200 words max)
All abstracts MUST be submitted in the presenting author’s name.
Financial Disclosure: Please indicate Yes/No with details where applicable
» The total duration of the videos, including title and credits, must not exceed 8 minutes.
» After submitting your abstract you will be contacted by the EURETINA Programme Team with a Dropbox link to upload your video
» The video must include a narration, music alone will not be accepted.
» The title and narration of the video must be in English.
» Accepted videos will be displayed on EURETINA On Demand after the Congress.
» The video entries will be judged by members of the EURETINA Programme Committee, and prizes will be awarded for the top videos at the discretion of the judging panel.
» Shortlisted winners must be present at the Opening Ceremony on Thursday 1 October in order to receive their prize.
