Purpose:

Vitreoretinal surgery in cases of Diabetic complex retinal detachments and massive subhyaloid hemorrage is challenging.

Setting:

Vitreoretinal Department of Tertiary eye institute

Methods:

This video demonstrates precise techniques of bimanual vitrectomy, meticulous truncation, segmentation ,delamination and steps to avoid intraoperative bleeding in diabetic membrane surgery. It also demonstrates meticulous management of large subhyaloid haemorrhage with good anatomical and visual outcomes.

Results:

Series of complex diabetic cases with meticulous surgical steps will be demonstrated with intraoperative and postoperative good anatomical and visual outcomes.

Conclusions:

The video provides a comprehensive overview of all essential steps in the management of challenging Diabetic complex retinal detachments and massive subhyaloid hemorrage.
