Abstract Details

To evaluate surgically induced astigmatism after 25G pars plana vitrectomy.

A’ Ophthalmology Department, University of Athens

23 patients underwent 25G pars plana vitrectomy using standard technique. All patients measured preoperative and postoperatively at 3 months with corneal topography.

Surgically induced astigmatism at 3 month was 0.22±0.47D.

25G pars plana vitrectomy induces low astigmatism and this is important knowledge for every vitreoretinal surgeon.
