To describe a case with unilateral choroidal detachment associated with carotid-cavernous sinus fistula
The study was conducted in a tertiary care centre in the Aegean region of Turkey
Observational case report
Dilatation and tortuosity of the episcleral vessels, shallow anterior chamber and choroidal detachment were detected in the left eye of a 73 year-old woman. Best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was 0.5 and 0.1 in the right and the left eye, respectively. Magnetic resonance imaging and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) revealed dilated supraorbital vein and corotid-cavernous fistula.
Choroidal detachment may occur as the result of decreased venous outflow associated with corotid-cavernous fistula
