EURETINA 7th EURETINA CONGRESS - Monte Carlo 2007
FREE PAPERS

EURETINA is growing rapidly as a society and we aim to make our meeting in Monaco the most successful to date. The meeting will bring many highlights in the European retinal calendar together in one venue.

As usual, we will have a mixture of eminent speakers giving updates on a variety of subjects, as well as a healthy contribution from free papers. In addition we will have panel discussions where renowned experts will be put "on the spot" with real cases. The theme of challenging opinion will be further enhanced by the Amsterdam retinal debate where you will have the opportunity to vote on each proponent's argument.

In addition we are embracing the long-established FAN club, as well as including more recent European groups such as the meeting on Heavy Tamponades. We have also increased our teaching courses, and I am happy to announce that the International Retinal Detachment course will celebrate its 50th edition at Monaco.

On behalf of the Programme Committee and the Board of EURETINA, we look forward to seeing you in Monaco.

Bill Aylward
Vice President and Chairman of the Programme Committee

A visit to Monaco

Located between the foot of the Southern Alps and the Mediterranean, Monaco is renowned as a place of glamour and wealth, fast cars and beautiful yachts. However, visitors to the
principality can enjoy the beautiful scenery and the unique experience of visiting Monte Carlo while at the same time finding that every budget is catered for.

Monaco is only 22 kilometres from Nice International Airport, which links the principality with the major cities of the world. While there are regular helicopter transfers between Nice and Monaco, taxis are plentiful and there is also a regular bus service linking the airport to Monaco in just 45 minutes. Once in Monte Carlo, everything is within walking distance, and
the Grimaldi Congress Centre is just 10 minutes walk from the Place de Casino.

Every standard of hotel is available, according to the needs of the visitor, and there are many restaurants to suit every taste, from gastronomic specialities to brasseries and pizzerias.
